Notes
This is a fully carved mandolin with a slightly deeper carved back with nice figure. It has a loud, sweet and sparkly tone that is well balanced across all strings right up to the highest notes. I found it tricky to capture with my simple recorder and mic. The combination of the Swiss spruce 'moonwood' and the deep back makes it very resonant, producing a nice natural reverb and long sustain, particularly noticable when sliding up or down note. I would chose this mandolin to play The battle of Evermore! It has a 31 mm wide nut and very comfortable neck so plays very easily.
